State Seeking Providers for Workforce Training

$10 Million available for projects for veterans, displaced workers, youths

Pennsylvania is now accepting applications for a $10 million grant program to support workforce training efforts for veterans, displaced workers and youths, according to Senator Bob Mensch (R-Bucks, Lehigh, Montgomery & Northampton).

Applications must be received the state Department of Labor and Industry no later than March 19.

Successful applicants' proposals will complement the state's workforce training and economic recovery efforts, including: apprenticeship programs; on-the-job training; advanced skills training for the current workforce; basic skill training; and customized training.
