What should you do when you see a parent lose his or her temper and is:

Screaming at a child in a public place;
Threatening a child in a low, tense voice; or
Spanking a child for touching an object that may have sparked her curiosity?

Watching a parent and child in a stressful situation, we may be unsure how to respond. What could we do to help? What is our responsibility?
